Hamilton Senior High School

A new residential community is set to be developed in Hamilton Hill, following the amalgamation of Hamilton Senior High School in December 2017.

The site is a 15.381ha land parcel located in the south–east area of Hamilton Hill, adjacent to the suburb of Coolbellup.

  • I cannot find any information about the proposed structure plan for Hamilton Hill senior high school. Is this available? I am a local resident and would like up to date information on the proposal as the site plan seems to have changed and now does not include any play areas.

    Hi Mark

The concept plan display boards from the community event in August last year can be  downloaded from the "Community Info"  section of the page. I've changed the name of the document so it's easier to find. Alternatively, copy and paste the below link in your browser.

The structure plan has recently been submitted to the City of Cockburn and it is expected they will advertise it for public comment in the coming months.

    Kind Regards

    LandCorp Team

  • when will Hamilton Hill High School Structure Plan review go to City of Cockburn. I am interested as a local community member to know how we will be able to provide further thoughts on our concerns over the impact to the local area, housing styles, housing density, amenities and available parkland

Hi and thanks for your question,

Following the Information Session in August,  where the community gave some great feedback, LandCorp has been busy preparing the local structure plan documentation.

The local structure plan documents are now close to being finished and are expected to be submitted to Council in early 2018. The City of Cockburn will advertise the plan in 2018, giving the community another chance to comment on the development.

If you'd like to be kept informed as the project progresses, please register to keep informed.

    Kind regards

    LandCorp Team

  • We have a concern about the possible destruction of notable old growth trees on. The preservation of native and exotic trees as community parkland within the development.

Hi and thanks for your question.

Feedback from the community and our team of consultants has been unanimous – the established trees onsite, as well as the bushland are excellent natural assets. As part of the onsite environmental assessment,  the health of all significant trees will be assessed and we will endeavour to incorporate these into our design.  As with all LandCorp developments, ensuring public open spaces are inviting and user friendly is a key focus.

  • Hi, I use the path between the school fence and stock road to access the high level pedestrian bridge on a daily basis, I assume this path will remain open during the schools site redevelopement and after as it is an important link with or without the school for many of us who use the route to get to and from work by bike as there are no bus routes from where I live to where I work.

Hi and thanks for your question,

When remediation and construction works commence at the school site in 2018,it will not be possible to maintain access to the pedestrian bridge at all times, as the exit/entry is within school property and the pathway partly within the school grounds.

For safety reasons, during earthworks the path and bridge will need to be closed temporarily from time to time. It is too early to say when and how long these closures will be required however  the community will be provided with advanced notice of any closure and alternative transit options.
