Demolition of Subiaco Grandstands

LandCorp have submitted an application to demolish the Subiaco Grandstands and the surrounding infrastructure to pave the way for the new Subi East Development.

The demolition will preserve the State heritage listed entry gates and will ensure the relocation or reinterpretation opportunities for the Sandover Medal walk. The site’s rich sporting history will be celebrated by the retention of a repurposed Subiaco Oval for shared school and community uses. A heritage inventory audit has been undertaken to further understand social connection to the site. Interpretation of these elements are being investigated as part of the planning process. We welcome your feedback on the elements that you feel should be honoured as part of the development.

The detailed works programming, including demolition methodology, demolition and safety management plans, will be determined once a contractor is appointed in early 2019 and detailed site investigations are complete.
